Indian River Behavioral Health Center / Cleveland Clinic

2024-2025

Two custom artworks revolving around the broad theme of nature, installed as large-scale mural wraps at the Cleveland Clinic’s Indian River Behavioral Health Center in Vero Beach, FL.

Prism was originally created as a 12-layer screen print on hand-dyed fabric, blown up and installed on a very long wall (approximately 9’H x 48’W) in the center’s cafeteria.

Seasons Cycle covers a full wall (approximately 8’11’’H x 25’9’’W) in the activity room. Jordan Lee created the deep blue cyanotype background on fabric and I screen printed the layered plant forms on top (7 layers).

The plants that I incorporated in each are mostly native to Florida and many have medicinal and health benefits. I choose these plants for their inherent healing, soothing, and therapeutic qualities and also for the other ideals they represent such as resiliency, interconnectedness, patience and slow growth. Growing together, these plants teach us the values of care, reciprocity, balance, purpose, and that variety/diversity (and sometimes adversity) are necessary for building strength.
