2024
Ongoing experimentation with cyanotype, please check back soon for more.
Huge thanks to Jordan Lee for teaching me this medium as part of our collabXchange.
Montserrat Triptych
My first go at large-scale fabric exposures, using digital negatives.
Each panel of this triptych is 14’’x32’’. I used a light blue sheet as the fabric (one of my late gram’s makeshift tablecloths). The photograph I shot from a hot air balloon in the Montserrat Mountains near Barcelona around New Year’s 2019/2020.
Matriarch Series
My very first solo experimenting with the newly learned cyanotype process: I’m using familial plants and and digital negatives of my foremothers.
Matriarchs + Natural Toning
I’ve toned some of these cyanotypes with natural pigments made from inherited plants in my garden - these with rose extractions from my grandmother’s rosebushes.
Cloud Series
My first go at large-scale paper exposures, using digital negatives. Each measures 22’’x30’’.
I also created exposures on fabric bandanas, each is 20’’x20’’.
