Printing Democracy / FIG + SPACES Urgent Art Fund

2022

Cleveland, OH

Hannah Manocchio and I each designed two original posters for a community print pop-up at Future Ink Graphics. The designs responded to top community concerns and promoting voter participation, in conjunction with the Young Latino Network. This program was made possible by SPACES Urgent Art Fund.

Hannah created the trans and repro rights posters, and I made the immigration and voting designs. Both were provided with English and Spanish text. The workshop was held shortly before the November election.

Animales del Mundo / El Salvador Mural

2013

Santa Tecla, El Salvador

I traveled to El Salvador with Concern for Children as their art service project leader. The main focus of our group's visit was providing medical care for children in orphanages - we evaluated and treated about 500 children throughout the country.  The mural was completed at Hogar de Niños Adalberto Guirola - a special needs orphanage in addition to the medical care.

I extend a huge thank you to all the volunteers that helped this mural become a reality – we were working on a tight timeframe and I couldn't have done it without them.
